The Active 110 Treadmill by York Fitness, according to people who have already bought it, it quite easy to assemble. They say you won’t really need the assembly instructions which I find important. I could almost assume that I can assemble it on my own. It comes around 90% pre-assembled in my opinion. Though I don’t have a knack for putting things together, it doesn’t strike me as an issue.
I personally like how this treadmill operates quietly and smoothly. Something that is yet another remarkable frequently mentioned by purchases and reviewers alike. This treadmill would, therefore, be pretty ideal for you who live in flats where noise can be an issue. I have this theory that when a hi-powered motor treadmill only makes little noise, it means it is well-built. The quietness tells me that the motor inside is “fewer words, more action”. Squeaky noises tend to make me (maybe even you) think twice and could potentially distract users during their work out.
The fact that this treadmill can handle running from a user weighing max 100 kg is not surprising. A lot of treadmills can do this. However, this has been a standard for a long time and to those mid-ranged treadmills who can’t handle running, shame on them.
The York Fitness Active 110 has 13 pre-set workout programmes and multiple user profiles. This is ideal for different users (e.g. members of the family) who do not want to be using someone else’s profile. It has adjustable speed options from 1 to 13kph which you can adjust on the handrails. Therefore, this is can be a useful feature for beginners and the elderly.
Although:
This might be something I can find as a con too, the speed buttons in the handrails might lead to an accidental adjustment during a workout. Perhaps it’s just a matter of getting used to.
Honestly, the console is not high-tech looking at all. But again, the point of manufacturing a treadmill-for-everyone falls into place. One look and you will figure out how to use the Active 110. Safety comes first in every workout, but not all fitness machines have it. Thankfully, this treadmill has a magnetic safety key which you can clip onto your clothes and will stop the treadmill in the event that you slip or fall.
I can’t believe how even as you workout, you can easily drift off. The lack of music compatibility for an electric mp3 is somehow demotivating. Music gives you that extra push for you to enter beast mode when you choose to run. This also helps you to unwind and re-wire your mind to alleviate stress whilst brisk walking. However, the treadmill does have slots on both sides of the console which is capable of storing your iPad or MP3.
Yes, it does have 13 preset working programs.
But:
I’m afraid they are not labelled.
You won’t know which ones focus on cardio, weight loss, endurance, so on so forth. Experienced users and fitness trainers might have an idea what these are for. But for beginners, this might be pretty confusing. I haven’t found what these programmes are, but it would be a comforting thought to know if they are found in the user manual.
Okay. So the York Fitness Active 110 folds up. However, I don’t see how it becomes a space saver with this kind of fold. It might have been helpful if it folded a little closer to a flat. This is as it can make it easy to store beneath beds and inside closets. Therefore a better ability to fold would have been a big plus.

Reebok ZR8 Treadmill is definitely one of those mid-high class treadmills that offer the most value for money. Its technical aspect has a huge advantage compared to other treadmills. Reebok designed the ZR8 in a way that everyone will understand what they are getting. Striking visual, good warranty, and an online support for specifically for ZR8. This is quite a handful and has great value for money in my opinion. Find out why in the detailed review.
